I really enjoy an omelette that is cooked to perfection. I have never been able to master this joy at home, only enjoyed in restaurants. Guess I always used the wrong pan? But, now I can make an outstanding omelette at home with this Nordic Ware Rolled Omelette Pan. The pans custom-design makes foolproof omelets each time due to the center divider which allows you to fill one side with your goodies: ham, cheese, spinach, mushrooms or whatever suits your fancy. The cast aluminum makes for an excellent cooking service while the handy spatula makes “rolling” the omelette a breeze. And it is made in the USA ~ Yippee!! I love products made in the USA!! In your home kitchen or Airstream kitchen you can now have the omelette of your dreams!
I don’t know about you but, I can’t give up eating bread. I mean, it’s a staple, isn’t it? Bread is life?? I know, I know it’s one of the bad “white” carbs, but, I just can’t give it up. With that said, I love toast. I have owned this toaster now for about 12 years and I could never own a different brand. Dualit is the rock star of the toaster world. Perfection each time you toast. For over 60 years Dualit has manufactured quality, well-engineered products and award-winning products. I own the 4 slice toaster but, am dreaming of the day I can put this 2 slice toaster in my Airstream. Wouldn’t that look divine?
When I was a little girl, I had a pen pal in Germany! Back in the day of snail mail, I would anxiously await for the post to arrive to see if I received a letter from my foreign friend. We never met but, I will never forget her and our correspondence. I admire the innocence of little girls and how they cherish writing in their diaries and sharing stories with pen pals. Interestingly enough, as an adult I find my blog to be my little pink diary with that faux gold clasp and the secret key. And once again in my life, I have found a pen pal. Her name is Monica Bennett and she is a very special friend. We have never met but, I felt after a few email chats that we were separated at birth, a very soulful connection. When I first discovered my love for Airstreams, I was searching the web and came across a cookbook through Amazon called An Airstream Travel Trailer’s Storybook of Recipes, Vol. 1. I couldn’t figure out how to purchase the Kindle version of this book for my new iPad. So, I emailed Monica (the author of the cookbook) and the rest is history. We have been sharing life stories ever since. Not only does Monica own an adorable 25′ Airstream, she is a graphic designer, author, epicurean, food photographer and is just plain über talented not to mention, an extraordinary mother and wife. I follow her blog: Just 5 More Minutes religiously as she inspires me to be a better photographer, a more conscious cook and a more passionate writer. Monica recently met the former food editor of the New York Times Magazine, Amanda Hesser who was also keenly impressed with Monica. Only a few days after meeting her idol, Monica was featured on Amanda’s blog: Food52 (which I am following now, its superb). Here is the link to that post. What an honor and how fabulous for Monica!
So, bring out your inner child, write in your journal or start a blog, find a new friend whether it may be pen pal or an old friend that you haven’t seen in years. After all, real friends are a true gift.
“But friendship is precious, not only in the shade, but in the sunshine of life, and thanks to a benevolent arrangement the greater part of life is sunshine.”
